How To Set Up

STEP 1 - LAY IT OUT

Find the perfect spot, unpack your Sol Shade and lay it out with the sand bags stretched out to make a large ‘X’ on the ground. Don’t forget to check the wind direction by throwing a little sand into the air and ensure the opening side (where the poles will go) is facing into the wind.

STEP 2 - FILL UP THE SAND BAGS OR PEG IT DOWN

Completely fill up the sand bags and then pull out each corner to make sure the shade is stretched on the ground (or peg it down). The sand bags will hold more than you think so make sure to fill them right up and then move each out a little further if needed to ensure the shade is pulled tight.

STEP 3 - INSERT THE POLES

Slot the poles together and then place each under the front corners of the shade approx. 30cm in from the corner with the foam ball at the top. The poles should angle back a little to give some bracing if there is a bit of wind.

A FEW THINGS TO NOTE...

You may find that once the poles are put up you need to adjust them or move the sand bags a little to get the tension and placement right.

Remember that Sol Shades are designed to stretch so don’t be shy and make sure it's pulled tight.

If needed you can bury the sand bags to give extra support if there is a strong wind to stop them moving.
